ParklandGEO is a partnership of independently
owned and operated engineering consulting firms that was initially
established in Red Deer, Alberta
in May 2000. The ParklandGEO Consulting Group have a presence in four
centers in Alberta including Red Deer, Edmonton, Airdrie and Grand Prairie
which provide a range of services in the following fields:
* Geotechnical engineering
* Soils and aggregate testing
* Materials engineering, materials testing and construction monitoring
* Groundwater engineering and testing
* Environmental site assessments
* Environmental consulting services
* Environmental remediation project management
Through a network of professional contacts and alliances with specialized
subcontractors, ParklandGEO is capable of providing team based services
for an even wider range of services including specialized materials testing
& engineering; specialized environmental testing & remediation
technologies; and hydrogeology.

Key Personnel
The president of ParklandGEO is Mark Brotherton,
P.Eng., a geotechnical engineer with over 20 years of experience in Alberta.
Mr. Brotherton has performed hundreds of geotechnical investigations and
assessments on sites in central and northern Alberta
and has provided geotechnical, materials and environmental consulting
services to a wide variety of projects which have included hospitals, arenas,
bridges, tunnels, roads, subdivisions, landfills, retaining walls, dams and
industrial installations. Mr. Brotherton also has over 15 years of
engineering office and multi-discipline project management experience. Mr.
Brotherton has developed strong ties within the local community and has made
numerous public presentations and provided expert testimony to several provincial
and municipal councils and boards.
The chief engineer of ParklandGEO is Michael
McCormick, M.Eng., P.Eng., a geo-environmental engineer with over 14
years of experience on projects located throughout Western Canada,
Ontario, Quebec
and the Yukon. Mr. McCormick is
an experienced multi-discipline project manager and innovative engineer who
has performed hundreds of geotechnical investigations, environmental
assessments and remediation programs on a wide variety of projects which have
included upstream oil & gas facilities, bridges, roads, subdivisions,
landfills, slopes, retaining walls, dams and industrial installations. Mr.
McCormick has also made numerous public presentations and provided expert
testimony during litigation, and to several municipal council committees and
provincial boards.
ParklandGEO personnel include several experienced engineers,
geologist/earth scientists, technologists, technicians, surveyors and support
staff with a wide range of experience in the Alberta
construction industry In addition to in-house expertise, ParklandGEO will also be using an
extensive network of professional contacts developed by our principals and
core staff to provide independent advice on financial and technical issues.
This team building approach will ensure the highest level of service and
expertise is available to our clients.
